This project focuses on designing and developing a robotic animatronic eye mechanism that replicates basic human eye movements using servo motors and mechanical linkages. The system is driven by a microcontroller that controls the direction and speed of the movement based on programmed instructions. A 3D-printed structure is used to support the eyeballs and linkages, providing precision and lightweight design.
The purpose of this project is to demonstrate how simple mechatronic components can be integrated to produce dynamic and realistic eye motion. It also serves as a foundational model for future developments in humanoid robotics, assistive robots, interactive installations, and cinematic animatronics. Through this work, students gain practical experience in mechanical design, servo control, embedded system programming, and system integration.
